If you want something to stay precious
You must hide it , okay not hide it but value it and protect it.
Something precious like a diamond or a pearl is covered and protected in a particular way. This includes our souls.
Maybe it would help humanity if we treated ourselves and others like diamonds and pearls in that we protect each other and stayed away from evil and all things that devalue us.
That’s why I try to protect myself from what I watch, listen to, and what I surround myself with.
Sometimes it hard in a world like this so it’s important to plug myself back in to all things pure, good, virtuous and lovely more frequently through out the day.
I’m learning to not let the perversions and evil of this world affect or influence me negatively.
I’m learning not to confuse mercy for empathy cause I don’t need to understand those that do evil but I do pity them.
I’m learning not to grow weary of doing good.
I’m learning to treat myself and others as, precious, like a diamond, and like a pearl.
